Merry Christmas To All!

I hope you and your loved ones have the most wonderful holiday season this year. I’m writing to you from below freezing Pensacola, FL where it's starting to feel more like the north pole. After an eventful 2022, I’m filled with gratitude for every single one of you who have signed up for this newsletter and have been a part of my career this year.

I wanted to take some time to call out some individuals who I’m especially grateful for this year. The first being the husband / wife duo that is Karli & James. James Sinclair-Stott being my song confidant and the producer of my debut EP “Whatever Floats Your Boat” and Karli Chayne being one of my main songwriting partners. Without these two my year wouldn’t have been half as bright and we’ve been very busy working on music for 2023!

Here’s a photo of the gift I got Karli & James this year! A painting from our studio session at Rukkus Room where we recorded my debut EP.

The second person I want to highlight this year is my lovely wife / manager / #1 fan Francesca Rice. Francesca and I have been all around America this year playing music and making memories. From beautiful blue Key West to the orange foliage of Park City, she’s been by my side through it all. What most don’t know is that Francesca also runs the business that is Jacob Rice Music. All accounting, website updates, and JRM needs. Without her none of this would be possible and it does not go unappreciated and unnoticed.

I’d also like to highlight a few people who have really helped me find my footing as an artist over the last year. Kiersten Rummell has been one of my favorite new collaborators, she’s a thoughtful and intelligent writer who is destined to become successful in Nashville. Kiersten has cuts on my new recording project for 2023 and was my co-writer on “Me, You & Summertime”. Dan Goebel has been with me since day one. You may know his work from songs like “Way You Were Loving Me”, “Lovers Or Nothing”, and “Forever I Do”. Dan and I are two dramatic, spastic, and compulsive writers who only ever try to get what feels right. He’s become such a special writer to me because he doesn’t chase after what Nashville wants, he looks for what resonates with our friendship which is what makes our songs work every single time. I couldn’t possibly fit everyone on this list, but my last shoutout is Ava Suppelsa. Ava came into my life in the middle of the year and has been a big part of it ever since. Not only is she one of the most badass writers in all of Music City having songs recorded by Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, and having a radio hit with Ryan Griffin. But she is also one of the most kind-hearted, thoughtful, and driven people I’ve met. Look for a song written by Ava and Karli Chayne on my upcoming project!

Last but not least I want to thank you, the fans. Whether you’ve been with me since day one or just got on board, I am so grateful for the support. I look forward to showing the world what I’m capable of in 2023 with new music and new tour dates!

MERRY CHRISTMAS & WARM WISHES,

Jacob
