After an eventful 2022, I’m filled with gratitude for every single one of you who have signed up for this newsletter and have been a part of my career this year.

I’ve been up to some really cool stuff and I’m excited to tell you every detail but before I do that, I wanted to take the time to thank you all!

Last Friday I released the official music video for Track 4 - Floats Your Boat! It was a blasting filming this with my talented friend, John Nilsen, up in Vermont in August.

My wife and I just closed out our summer with a trip to Mexico before I headed up to Vermont for a week of shows capped off with a performance at the Champlain Valley Fair.

I am so stoked to release my Debut EP, “Whatever Floats Your Boat” with 5 incredible tracks on August 19th!

Last week, I was named The Listening Room Cafe’s “Unsigned Artist to Watch” for the month of July.

Now that we are officially in July I have a lot of exciting news to share.

Last night I had the honor of performing at The Bluebird Cafe’s 40th birthday celebration!

I am hosting a night of incredible music at one of Nashville’s best live music venues to raise money to #ENDALZ for The Longest Day.

I’m so excited that my second single of 2022 is available now (more on that below). But that’s not all that’s been happening in Jacob Rice Music land.

Next month, I am packing up the SUV and getting on the road with my full band and heading northeast!

I Will Remember came out two weeks ago and it’s been so incredible to see everyone’s responses, messages, comments, and emails in response to the song. I feel privileged that so many of you have chosen to share your own personal stories with me.

This has been my most exciting week so far this year! I couldn’t decide what to talk about, so I’m just going to share everything!

After being chosen to advance from the Qualifying Round at The Commodore Hotel in Linden, TN, I had a few weeks to prepare for a trip down to Franklin, Tennessee for the Showcase round. The six Showcase rounds actually take place during the official, state-recognized “Tennessee Songwriters Week” and are held at six historic music venues across the state.
